The lessons of Barrio Duranguito’s survival are many. Barrio people, though lacking in power and influence, deserve the same respect as all other residents and taxpayers. When the fervor of new construction development displaces the most vulnerable, the community must pause, reflect and restore. PROJECT REGENERACION has been formed to address one of our most intractable problems, the lack of housing for extremely low income residents and also the need to preserve buildings important to our history, heritage and culture. Restoration and preservation of important buildings that can be rehabilitated is one of our primary goals. We plan to continue advocating but we also want to invest in property, thus we need your financial support. Thank you for your interest!
