Eden Performing Arts
Eden Performing Arts is El Paso’s premier performing arts nonprofit that produces the Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival, touring theater productions, bilingual and Spanish theatre plays put on by Los Actores, and community-engaged dance productions such as Zapateados.

Causes: Arts and Culture, Children and Youth, Education

TWO MATCHING CHALLENGES! For the Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival, we have received a generous matching pledge of $5,000 from Bruce and Nancy Cushing to sustain the long-term health of the Festival! This means every dollar you give to Madeline Park Shakespeare will be matched to ensure we can provide free, family-friendly Shakespeare to El Paso for years to come.

We have also received an exciting $15,000 challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to produce a 2024 bilingual tour of Shakespeare in the classroom! Every donation you make will be matched to bring Shakespeare in both English and Spanish to schools throughout the Frontera region so we can introduce students to Shakespeare on their own terms.

OTHER INITIATIVES For those with an interest in Spanish language and bilingual theater, Los Actores is seeking support to pay for the sound system for the December performances of The Dark Virgin/La Virgen Morena in the Lower Valley and for the spring 2024 productions at El Paso High School.

Dance aficionados can help support the August 2024 return of Zapateados to the Plaza Theatre.
