El Paso Giving Day is here again!

Many of you know how close ARL is to my heart — I’ve been a proud volunteer there for the past 22 years.

This year I thought I would start fostering again. Oh boy! What a roller coaster of feelings that has been. My first few neonatal kittens didn’t survive, but I can assure you they were deeply loved every step of the way. They had a safe home, were cared for, and most importantly, they mattered. Another litter found their forever family within ours — my mom kept Coco Cat, and Angelina and Leo kept Oreo.

Then came Elsa and Anna, the emaciated pups, who touched the hearts of so many and brought new friends into my circle, their amazing mom, Kat being one of them. These sweet girls came in with broken bodies and souls and touched mine deeply. Every day they grew stronger and the light in their eyes found its way back. They not only survived — they thrived. And when the time came, Angelina and I had to wipe away our tears and let them go. They truly hit the jackpot with their forever mom and dad — and the best part? We still get regular updates.

These Girls reminded me why ARL is so vital to our community. It’s a sanctuary for those who are lost, broken, or forgotten — a place where healing begins and hope is restored.

I’m continually inspired by the work ARL does, and I’m so grateful to be part of it. I have so many wonderful memories of family and friends helping at ARL throughout the years. Whether it was walking dogs, cuddling puppies, cleaning kennels, fostering, adopting, donating, serving holiday breakfasts, helping at fundraisers, etc. I hope these experiences have been as special and meaningful to them as they are to me.

This El Paso Giving Day, I’m asking for your help to reach my fundraising goal. Every donation helps ARL continue its life-changing mission — not only for the animals, but for the people who have the privilege of caring for these precious souls. I know it’s made a difference in my life and continues to feed my soul and fill my heart with happiness.
