Hi! Emily here with the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation! I’m so excited to be participating in El Paso Giving Day this year in more than one way! Nonprofits have always held a special place in my heart. They don’t just fill the gaps in our communities—they serve as vital resources, creating opportunities, sparking innovation, and supporting people in ways that truly matter.

At the MCA, we believe the healthcare needs of the Paso del Norte region are best served by growing a thriving life sciences ecosystem—one that supports everything from healthcare education and workforce training to the commercialization of biomedical research and innovation. We truly do a little bit of everything: inspiring kids through STEM programs, helping biotech startups get off the ground, and providing free training in clinical trials. I’ve seen first-hand the incredible impact the MCA has on our region, and this year that impact will go even further—thanks to $7,500 in matching funds from The Melinda and Meyer Marcus Foundation, every gift has the power to DOUBLE the difference we make!
